Troy Lee Morgan was born on October 25, 1985, in Tucson, Arizona, to Troy Sr. and Roberta “Bobbie” Dominguez. From a young age, Troy’s vibrant personality, warm heart, and infectious smile lit up every room he entered. He was the kind of person who never met a stranger—his gift for making lifelong friends was evident even in his early years. Many of his closest friendships date back to kindergarten and preschool, a testament to his loyal and welcoming spirit.

Troy had a joyful childhood filled with adventure and memorable experiences, thanks in part to his father’s successful career with Tucson Electric Power. Whether it was cheering on his sister at track meets, taking family trips to Disneyland, or playing for baseball teams sponsored by TEP, Troy made the most of every moment. He carried that same enthusiasm and charisma into every chapter of his life.

In 2009, Troy made a life-changing decision to give his heart to Christ and was baptized, beginning a personal journey of faith and transformation. After a season of personal challenge, Troy emerged in 2016 with a renewed sense of purpose and a desire to live a meaningful, impactful life. He was determined to turn his story into one of redemption, growth, and grace.

That same year, he was given an opportunity at JB Steel to explore his creativity and passion for building. In 2017, Troy joined UA local 469 and the Arizona Pipe Trades Apprenticeship Program, where he discovered his gift for plumbing and engineering and began his career with Bel-aire Mechanical. His first job was at the Banner Cancer Center in Tucson, where he quickly gained a reputation for excellence, innovation, and integrity. He was known for turning obstacles into opportunities—whether it was creating a QR code system to streamline workflow or earning multiple certifications while still an apprentice. Before graduating, he had already risen to the level of instructor, eager to pour into others what he had learned.

Troy had a heart to serve. He mentored younger tradesmen, offered help without hesitation, and constantly sought to make those around him better. His goal was to honor his father’s legacy, be an example to his children, and prove that even after setbacks, one could rise again and thrive.

In 2024, Troy was diagnosed with cancer, yet even in the midst of his battle, he remained selfless and strong. He showed up for his children, his family, and his friends with unwavering love and grace. His faith in Jesus Christ only deepened during this time. He was not a perfect man, but he served a perfect Savior. Troy worshiped boldly, even in his final days, determined to bring glory to God with every breath. He often testified of God’s power to deliver and redeem, and if he were here today, he would urge you to trust in the One who changed his life.

Troy is survived by his devoted wife, Krystal, and his beloved children: Janaya, Troy III, and Noah. He also leaves behind his loving father, Troy Sr.; three sisters: Teresa, Rena, and Rosa; one brother, AB; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and cherished friends.

Troy Lee Morgan lived a life marked by resilience, faith, and love. Though his time with us feels far too short, we are comforted by the promise that this is not the end. We look forward to the day we will see him again, whole and radiant in the presence of the Lord he loved.

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” 2 Timothy 4:7
