Obituary for Sue Antionette Brzoski Lindley

Sue A. Lindley a longtime resident of Tucson, AZ passed away unexpectedly May 22 nd, 2025 surrounded by family and friends at Peppi's House. Sue was born in Seattle,Washington to Stanley C Brzoski and Ouida W (Heinrichs) Brzoski June 26, 1943.

She was a graduate of Escambia High School in Pensacola, Florida and Pima Medical Institute in Tucson, AZ. She was a retired veterinary technician and worked providing care to pets and animals. She married Calvin Saylors in 1964, from this union they had two children, and moved their family from Florida to Colorado. After they divorced, she moved to Phoenix, AZ where she met her husband Joseph and headed east to Dayton, OH to begin their wonderful life together. There she was also able to spend quality time with her first grandson, which she always treasured. They moved to Tucson in 1992. Together they raised multiple rescued Golden Retrievers and Cocker Spaniels. She often referred to herself as a “Foster Failure” with a laugh. Sue was a multitalented person with experience as a bookkeeper, teacher’s aide for special needs children, travel agent, and finally veterinary technician, which she proudly achieved in her 50’s. She volunteered with Rescue A Golden of Arizona and Southern Arizona Golden Retriever Rescue. Her greatest joys were her family, animal rescue, people, gardening, and the outdoors. She loved all of her grandchildren very much and loved spending as much time with them as she could. She was also very passionate about helping anyone with their animal questions. Sue loved reading and traveling. She also possessed a deep love of faith and country. She cherished her friends many from her many adventures and experiences. She will be sorely missed by those who were fortunate enough to know her, and by her family.

Sue was predeceased by her parents. She is survived by spouse Joseph Lindley of Tucson; daughter Bernadette (Kelly) Frisch of Sioux City, Iowa; son Calvin (Laura) Saylors of Tucson, AZ; step-sons Gordon (Michelle) Lindley of Carthage, NC and Adam Lindley of Corvallis, OR; her sister Janice (James) Blake of Cave Creek, AZ; grandsons Dustin (Meagan) Juracek, Cody (Giovanni) Juracek, Jared Saylors, and Tyler Allen; granddaughters Monica Mahoney, Allison Saylors, Lauren Allen, Addison Lindley, and Kayy Hunter; and great-grandson Aleksander. She also leaves behind her fur babies, beloved Maria, who visited her at Peppi’s House, Rosie, and Reina Ann.

A Celebration of Life and remembrance will be held at 6-8 pm Thursday, June 26 th at Mama Louisa’s Italian Restaurant in Tucson, AZ. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Sue’s memory. She visited Best Friends several years ago with her sister,

Jan, and it was a very special trip for her.
