Sandra T Ehlers

Sandra Ehlers (Sandy) 75 passed on May 5, 2025. Born March 31, 1950. Sandy is survived by her three children; Joseph Stammer, of Des Moines, Iowa, Pamela Fadden (Thomas) of Oak Ridge, New Jersey and Caryn Crego (Nicholas) of Dover New Hampshire and three grandchildren; Maxwell Crego, Olivia and Gwyneth Fadden. Sandy was predeceased by her loving husband Frederick Ehlers, December 2009 (26 years) and ex-husband Richard Stammer, March 2015. 

Sandy was a loving wife, mother and friend. Sandy was the only child of parents; Mory and Maye Rosenzweig (Holocaust survivors). Sandy was born and raised in Bronx, NY before moving to NJ. Sandy and her husband Fred moved to FL for 16 years before finding their forever home in NW Tucson. Sandy worked at TMC as a registered nurse in high risk labor and delivery and NICU. 

Sandy enjoyed spending her retired years playing Mah Jongg, Canasta, Poker and other card games with her friends almost every night/day if she could each day at Sunflower and The Country Club of La Cholla. Sandy was a dog lover, she enjoyed supporting animal rescue facilities and shelters. 

A special thank you to all the doctors, nurses and her local caregiver, Robin Roberts for taking care of our mother these last few years as her health declined. A special thank you to Brookdale Skilled Nursing Staff and Anthem Hospice for the great end of life care these last few weeks. 

A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date in August of 2025, in lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Humane Society in Sandra’s memory.
