Ronald (“Ron”) R. Ressler was born in 1933 in Philadelphia, PA, to William P. and Dorothy F. Ressler, and died on March 17th in Tucson, Arizona. His beloved wife of nearly 63 years, Susan (“Sue”) T. Ressler, passed away in March 2020.
Ron received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering at Drexel University, Philadelphia, PA, and served as an officer in the Army Corps of Engineers in Germany 1957-59.
Ron and Sue moved to Tucson in 1980, where he continued his career as a mechanical engineer representing manufacturers of mining equipment. He was a private pilot and loved to fly his Cessna 172. He was a Past Master of Aaron Lodge #49 F&AM.
Ron and Sue are survived by daughters Nancy King (Tony) of NC, Susan Jones (Kyle) of TX, son David Ressler (Julie) of CO, five much loved grandchildren (Megan, Matthew, Sarah, Amanda and Brendan), and four very special great grandchildren (Lennon, Adelyn, Quinn, and Jackson).
A memorial service will be held at Tanque Verde Lutheran Church on Saturday April 25th at 3:00 pm, and a private service for the inurnment of Ron’s and Sue’s ashes will be held at the Southern Arizona Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
