Robert W Polston Sr, 85, of Tucson, AZ. passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer in Tucson, AZ on November 20th, 2024.
He was born on November 1st, 1939, in Chicago, Il, the first of three children to Walter and Anne Polston.
He graduated from Amphi High School in 1958. Bob was active in bowling, golf, slow pitch and fast pitch softball. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting his with family.
Bob was a top-rated fast pitch softball pitcher in the state of Arizona and often pitched in tournaments in different states representing different teams. He taught his children how to play sports and actively participated as a coach or followed his children to sporting events throughout the state.
Bob is survived by his son Robert Polston (Stacy), son Ronald Polston (Rebecca) and daughter Stefanie Gonzales. He had 9 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Donna and brother Jim.
Services are to be held at St Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church on a date to be determined. The family ask for donations to the Arizona Oncology Foundation in lieu of flowers to aid in others experiencing the pain and suffering of cancer.
