Richard Ryan Wilson, born on May 4, 1945, in New London, Connecticut, passed away peacefully at his home in Tucson, Arizona, on the early morning of January 21, 2025.
Richard was the beloved son of Harry R. Wilson and Jane A. Winchell. Growing up as part of a military family, he experienced life in many places during his formative years. He later settled in Tucson, where he built a life filled with dedication to his family and community.
Richard is survived by his devoted wife of 52 years, Silvija; his daughter, Krista; his son Michael and daughter-in-law Shauna; his cherished grandchildren, Misha and Daniel; and his brother Danny. His love for his family was evident in all that he did.
Professionally, Richard dedicated over three decades to the Pima County Juvenile Court Center, serving as both a probation officer and director. After retiring from this role, he continued to serve others as a counselor with CPSA for more than five years. Later in life, he worked as a bus driver and teacher's aide for the Tucson Unified School District, further demonstrating his commitment to helping others.
Richard found joy in hunting and camping, passions that allowed him to connect with nature and create lasting memories with loved ones.
