Born August 4th, 1941, to Betty and John Rhodes, Dick lived his early days in St. Louis, Missouri with his older brother Tom and many friends nearby.

He attended the University of Missouri with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications - Radio and Television. He worked at KMOX radio in St. Louis and eventually moved to Los Angeles, California to work for CBS television / TV City. This is also where he met his wife of 58 years, Mary.

Dick served as an Army Reserve Soldier in Panama and Korea for Armed Forces Radio. After leaving CBS, he began a career in commercial real estate and opened his first office in Orange County, California where he and Mary raised their children Tracy and Chris. Later in life he worked as a real estate appraiser and retired to Quail Creek, Arizona.

Anyone that knew Dick, knew he loved to talk and had many wonderful stories. His expertise in digression was unmatched. Music & books were also an ever-present part of his life. Dick loved everything about golf, did his utmost to serve others through church and volunteering, enjoyed woodworking, traveling with Mary and their dog Marley and spending time with family and friends.

Dick passed at his home with his family in Quail Creek on June 6th, 2024. He is survived by his loving wife Mary, his brother Tom, children Tracy and Chris, and grandchildren, Cecilia, Elyse, Andrew, and Makai.

A celebration of Dick’s life will be held:
