Michael was born in August 20, 1953 in Cleveland, Ohio and passed away peacefully on June 16, 2025 in Tucson, Arizona.

Michael started his career working in the mailroom at Master Builders and worked his way up to Vice President of sales for Manfredi Motor Transit. From there he became a contractor working for Harmac Transportation running their U.S. operations.

Michael loved to travel and enjoyed quite a few rounds of golf with his wife Lori. He always said “I’m a simple man with simple tastes” but boy did he like to eat. Good thing he married a woman that liked to cook.

Michael met his wife Lori on June 27, 1997. They married 4 years later and were together 24 years. He helped raise her 2 children and also had a daughter of his own.

His true passion was the love for his Golden Retrievers, first Sunny and Tanner then Hunter followed by Buddy, his true companion.

He was a proud man admired for his confidence and willingness to take problems head on. He was always thoughtful and took time to analyze any situation to come to the best solution.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents Michael A Cannavino and Juanita Cannavino (nee DePalma). He leaves behind his wife Lori (nee Sofia), daughter Stephanie Waite (nee Cannavino), stepchildren Jillian Spring, Joseph Spring (Jamila), 2 grandchildren Tabitha and Malcolm Waite, siblings Lori Mastrangelo (Tom), Jim Cannavino (Tammy) and several nieces and a nephew.
