Maria Estela Banuelos

María Estela Bañuelos was born in Ciudad Victoria Durango, in the state of Durango, Mexico.

She was always a very spirited and determined child. At a very young age she learned to sew, embroider and make custom clothing. She was able to make it a career in her twenties becoming a sought after tailor.

Not satisfied with her success, she wanted to travel to the US. She quickly learned English and embraced her new home. She turned her artistic skills into fabricating wind instruments. Creating beautiful music for many musicians and audiences.

She raised two nephews and created a lasting legacy through them. She was a loving aunt and mother.

Her beautiful smile, her kind heart and her tenacious spirit will live on through her work, her family and her art.

She will be dearly missed by all.
