Larry James Jordan, 72, of Pearce, AZ, passed away at Select Specialty Hospital - Tucson East on June 4th, 2024, with his wife, Talena, by his side.

Larry was born on June 15th, 1951 in Delaware, Ohio, to James Orville Jordan and Hazel Jordan (née Chaffin). In the late 1950s, Larry moved to Tucson, AZ with his family. There, Larry attended Catalina High School and earned a BA from the University of Arizona in 1978.

Larry worked as a home health aide for several years, and later as a case worker for the mentally ill in Yavapai County, AZ. Through the years, he was a dealer in Native American jewelry, rocks, crystals, antiques, and collectibles, selling around the country. More recently, he ran a gift shop called Blue Bear Trading Post & Gallery in Pearce, AZ. You could also find him selling at the Sunsites Friday Boardwalk Market. He made and sold his own beautiful jewelry, as well.

Larry was a kind and gentle soul who made people feel at ease. He was quiet, non-judgmental, generous, and a great listener. He loved helping others. His absence will be deeply felt by many.

Larry is survived by his loving wife of 8 years, Talena DeBaun of Pearce, AZ; nieces Kara Bliss of Colonial Heights, VA and Lara (Robert) Velardi of Tucson, AZ; nephew, Warren Cox of Charlottesville, VA; cousin Linda (Lou) Ricard and children Bobby, Debby and Kelly Ricard of Tucson, AZ; cousin Stephanie Welch of Tucson, AZ; stepson Sam Esposito of Tucson, AZ; other cousins and extended family, as well as countless friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; his sister Janet Cox; and his first wife, Carolyn Martin.
