Jorge Gaitan Rodriguez "Guerro," 69, of Tucson, Arizona, passed away peacefully at home on October 22, 2025, surrounded by his loving family, listening to his favorite music and reminiscing over past memories which made him so special.

George was Born on August 11, 1956, in San Benito, Texas, He dedicated his life to his family and his love for nature. He was married to the love of his life Lilia (Lily) for over 50 wonderful years, during which they built a life rich in love and shared experiences, she was his world and was always forever grateful for her always being there for him no matter what ever situation came from his life. They loved to dance, people would tell them they seemed to be on a cloud floating on the dance floor. When they were young they would crash weddings and quinceaneras just so they can dance

His daughter Josie was not only his daughter but also a best friend constantly calling no matter what time of day just to say hi (ween) and then hang up.

His son Jorge jr. (Pelon) was the reason for all of his father's tattoos. George’s dream was to have long hair and be full of tattoos, he was proud to say his son was a tattoo artist and always showed off his work. He was very proud to say, my son did these tattoos, he was his Guinea pig.

His brother Javier was not only his brother but also a best friend. George would show up at any given moment just to hang out even if it wasn’t the right time, but Javier would always welcome him, that really meant the world to George.

He always talked about his brother Raul, of a never ending memory of calling each other FBI (Fat Belly Indian) an inside joke for their long hair and beer belly.

His oldest brother Tony, were memories of partying the night away until his last days.

His brother Jesus (macho) memories of riding their horses on the trails of the Tucson mountains, talking stories and memories of their mom and dad and just being free in the wilderness.

His brother Roberto (Crockett) a proud Marine RIP, he was always so proud of him being a drill sergeant.

His sister Rosa (Moa) as everyone knows they had their issues but deep down inside, their Rodriguez stubbornness attitude kept them apart, but he loved her so much even at the end.

George was well-known for his hard-working nature his custom walking sticks and custom leather gun holsters. He cherished all the hunting adventures, often reminiscing about his journeys with his brother Javier his dad Lalo and his son Pelon. George’s stubbornness was matched only by his affectionate spirit, leaving behind countless memories to cherish.

George was always speaking about the past bringing up all the stories of him and his brothers with the neighborhood kids that would always be looked at like family. He was always a wild man who would, always partake in the art of his cherished greens with everyone and anyone, speaking stories of the past, to who ever would listen. Anyone that came into contact with George could probably tell you an interesting story or two about him and laugh at something crazy he would say or do, it was never a dull moment with George.

He was a man of nature with his horses and farm life animals, and his infamous pitbull named Chato which I’m sure the old neighborhood still tells stories about being the baddest dog on the block. As he got older he took great pride in caring for his chili plants and feeding the wild birds whom all had names especially Charlie the humming bird.

For George life could be no better than having the hot sun hit his face enjoying nature with a cheeseburger and a diet Pepsi. George will be remembered fondly for his wild spirit and his ability to bring joy to those around him.

His unwavering love for his family and being so proud of all his 7 grandchildren.

His legacy will live on in the hearts of his family and friends as a loving yet persistent force in their lives. May your memory live on forever, you will truly be missed . We love you Dear, Dad, Pops, Tata, and Bro!!!
