With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather and friend, Johnny “Pepino” Jirama Valenzuela, 64, of Tucson, Az, on March 31st, 2025.

Johnny was preceded in death by his father Francisco “Pepino” B. Valenzuela and his mother Anita Jirama Valenzuela. He is survived by the mother of his children and the love of his life Cathy Granillo, his daughters Lisette Nethery (Tom), Claudia Ahumada (Gilbert), his sons Johnny Valenzuela Jr (Amanda), and Frank Valenzuela (Abrianna), his 12 grandchildren, Analisa, Aliana, Jessica, Juliana, Jesus, Breana, Elias, Elisa, Frankie, Thomas, Sophia, Andrew, and 1 great grandson Jaxson.

Johnny was born and raised in Tucson, Az, where he worked at a small family grocery store, that his mother and father started in 1965 on Nebraska St. named Valenzuela Fruit Market “Pepino’s”. Through hard work and dedication, it is a place where he also taught his sons strong work ethics and how to start their own business.

Johnny will always be remembered for his strength and sense of humor. He was there to offer guidance and love. His presence at holidays and celebrations always brought warmth and joy to those around him.

He had many passions, detailing and painting low riders for car shows, building car model with his kids and he enjoyed making delicious snow cones for the community and his family. Most importantly he loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Although, Johnnys presence will be deeply missed, his spirit will live in our hearts forever.

Rest in Peace.
