Johnnie Davis Jr

Johnnie Cleveland Davis Jr. was born and raised in Paso Robles, California. He remained there before moving to Oregon after he graduated high school in 1978. He then relocated back to his California roots before settling in Arizona in 1994 where he remained until his death.

Johnnie was a lifelong fan of the Beatles and had quite the collection of Beatles t-shirts, music and other Beatles memorabilia. He spent many hours listening and reminiscing to their music.

He was also a lover of birds. Johnnie collected and read many books about many species of birds from all over the world and was quite knowledgeable about every species he read about. His favorite and most beloved pets were cockatiels and he always had one or two as his companions, with his most recent being “Murphy.”

Johnnie enjoyed going out to dinner for his two favorite foods…..fajitas or pizza. Either of those would be his choice whenever he was asked where he wanted to go. He wasn’t one to be venturous when it came to his food. He worked for many years in the food industry from grocery stores to various restaurants.

Johnnie was preceded in death by his little Brother, Vincent Randall Davis, maternal Grandparents, Vicente & Julia Chavez, paternal Grandparents, Grover Davis & Ethel Davis, Aunts Nancy Rau & Toni Chavez, Uncles Victor Chavez and Jimmy Davis.

Johnnie is survived by a huge family who loved him which includes his Parents, Coni Smith of Rio Rico, Arizona & Johnnie Davis Sr. of Lake Park, Georgia, Stepparents, Martin Smith of Rio Rico, Arizona & Joann Davis of Lake Park, Georgia, Stepsisters, Melissa James of Monroe, Washington and Elizabeth Osann of Atascadero, California and numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins & Step Nieces & Step Nephew.

A memorial service will be held in San Miguel, California at the Mission San Miguel Arcangel on Friday, October 20, 2023 at 1:00 pm followed by a reception at 2:00 pm at Oak Park Clubhouse, 3120 Pine Street, Paso Robles, California.
