Jana McLaughlin

Jana McLaughlin, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and loving sister and daughter, passed away on September 7, 2025, in Tucson, Arizona, at the age of 53. Her passing followed complications from a stroke. 

Born on January 16, 1972, Jana was raised in Pilot Rock, Oregon. After meeting Kenneth McLaughlin, they settled locally in the Boardman, Oregon area where she helped raise her three daughters. After many years working at Walmart, Jana chose the adventure of joining Ken on the road, becoming his full-time companion in his trucking career. In recent times, she and Ken relocated to Willcox, Arizona. 

Jana loved her travels with Ken and cherished every moment spent with her loved ones, particularly her grandchildren—Lilah, Lane, Remy, and Tate—who were the light of her life. She also held a special place in her heart for the Oregon Coast. Those who knew Jana will remember her as kind and thoughtful, a person who cared deeply for others and always put the needs of her family first. 

Jana was preceded in death by her grandmother, Agnes Hyke, and her father-in-law, Fred McLaughlin. 

She is survived by her loving husband, Kenneth McLaughlin; her three children: Cindy (Dakota), Tessa (Tyler), and Kelly; and her four grandchildren. 

She is also survived by her parents, Susan (Jack) and Donald (Debra); her siblings: Tammy (Dave), Jackie (Shawn), and Glenn; her mother-in-law, Elaine; her sister-in-law, Candice (Austin); her brother-in-law, Fred, and many beloved nieces and nephews from both sides of the family. 

A memorial service to celebrate Jana’s life will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2025, from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Pendleton Center for the Arts (214 N. Main St., Pendleton, OR). All friends and family are invited to attend and share their favorite memories of Jana.
