James Scoffin

James “Mickey” Michael Scoffin, 85, of Encinitas, California and Oro Valley, AZ passed away on January 18, 2024, at his home in Oro Valley. He was born on June 3, 1938, in San Diego, California. Mickey retired as Vice president of Manufacturing Management and took time to golf, travel to new destinations and visit his kids and grandkids. He graduated from Hoover High School as part of the class of 1956, and then continued his education, receiving a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from San Diego State University. Mickey was an avid golfer, and a lifelong fan of baseball and football.

Mickey was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie, and is survived by his brother, his wife of eighteen wonderful years, Carol; their 6 children; 13 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild.

A Celebration of Life (open to all friends and family), officiated by Pastor Joel Beyer will take place on Saturday, February 24, 2024, 11:00am at St Mark Encinitas, located at 552 South El Camino Real in Encinitas. An open house/reception will follow until 2:00pm.
