Jacob (Jake) William Wilhoite, Jr. entered into the presence of our sweet Lord and Savior at 8:13 am, on a sunny morning, here in Tucson, Arizona, on September 5th, 2023. He left this world surrounded by the love and dedication of his wife, Kerri Baxter Wilhoite, in the comfort of their home. Jake was a Christian and now is no longer in pain or suffering - completely made whole, as he left this world to enter a better place- HEAVEN. Jake was a high school graduate and obtained his Commercial Driving License (CDL) driving both locally and “over the road” many years. His last job was a CDL instructor and, through this work, he was able to share his talents and passion with new drivers. Jake had worked diligently in all of his jobs, receiving recognition from his employers for his hard work ethic. In addition to driving, Jake had many talents: cooking, woodwork, manufacturing, and others. Many people have appreciated his BBQ sauce as he graciously shared with anyone he could… he always joked that this would be his “retirement plan”. Jake loved everyone and was very much the “life of the party”. He made people feel comfortable immediately and celebrated everyday of life- as a gift. Kerri wishes to recognize the friends who came to help and show so much love to Jake these last couple years- you all made Jake happier with your phone calls, visits and overall kindness. Jake was born on June 18, 1968, in Tullahoma, Coffee County, Tennessee. He was the son of the late Jacob William Wilhoite and Della Faye (McCullough) Wilhoite. He was proceeded in death by his father, Jacob William Wilhoite and only sibling, brother, Randy Dale Wilhoite. He is survived by nieces Brandi, Erica and nephew Randy and their children. He is survived by his caring wife, Kerri Baxter Wilhoite, three children: Hannah Faye (Julian) Dean, Riley Cole (Shelby) Womack, Reagan O’Neill (Dylan) Womack/Passalacqua and two grandchildren: Dominic Dean and Maggie Womack.
