Francisco Manuel Lopez Profile Photo

Our Beloved Brother Francis (Frank) Manuel Lopez walked-through the gates of heaven on June 17, 2025, to meet our Lord. Frank was born to Maria Magdelena Ybarra Lopez and George Sotero Lopez on October 5, 1955 During his time with us, he gave us love, (which was unconditional) laughter, hope and understanding. If you knew Frank, you knew love.

Frank was preceded in death by three of his life partners (Seth, Michael and Scott) also two siblings Georgene Francis and Frederick George Lopez. He is survived by his remaining siblings Maria Lower, Jacqueline Ingraham, Rose Lopez, Sotero Lopez, Nelda Mondragon and George Powell-Lopez. It’s a great loss for everyone in our family, however, leaves us a great example of how to live a beautiful full life. With so many accomplishments during his lifetime, his creative and artistic skills will live on through his work. Here are just a few of his talents and professions. Many of which he achieved at expert/professional level. He was a dancer, jazz, tap and ballet. He was noted as one of the only on-toe ballet male dancers to perform during the 80’s. He bred Arabian horses, a florist at one time owning Magdalena Florals in Tucson. A professional grand master porcelain doll maker, winning National Competitions. He was a National Judge for the American Cockatiel Society and had personally shown and won many awards with his birds. Frank also showed Grand Master Standard Poodles and had shown in the circuits around the country. Most recently he had begun his work as an acrylic artist and had taken to sharing his knowledge with his siblings every week up to and including the last week of his life. He mastered Silversmithing reaching into the family’s Native American skills to create breath taking jewelry.

With all that under his belt, it is appropriate to say he was an Artistic Renaissance Man. To most of us he was just an amazing human. Frank was a mentor, a confidant, a role model, and a steady, always there when you needed him and needlessly standing in the shadows of attention. You always felt like a star when he was in your audience.

Thank you to our Creator for giving us such a beautiful person and allowing us to share in your perfection.

Services will be held at Avenida Cremation and Burial Services on June 27, 2025 at 11:00 AM, followed by a family gathering at the home of his Nephew Orlando Arrellin in Tucson, Arizona.
