We gather with heavy hearts yet sunny smiles to celebrate the life of Eugene Paul Lauer, fondly known as Gene, who swung his last round of golf on November 14, 2024, in sunny Tucson, Arizona. Born in the charming town of Racine, Wisconsin on September 22, 1947, Gene embodied an adventurous spirit that took him from the Midwest the sprawling deserts of Arizona, where he made a lasting mark as a beloved Real Estate Broker.

Gene was no ordinary broker—he was the master of the deal and the king of good times. His keen eye for a great property was only matched by his love for life and laughter. Whether he was negotiating a sale or sharing a joke over a cold Miller High Life at Jeff's Pub, Gene's magnetic personality drew friends and clients alike into his orbit. He was the life of every gathering, making sure to sprinkle fun into every occasion.

Golf? Oh, you could always count on Gene to keep things interesting on the fairway. He reveled in spending time outdoors, whether perfecting his swing or hiking the picturesque trails of Pantano wash as the sun peeked over the horizon. Those early morning hikes were his therapy, and he adored every precious moment spent in nature’s embrace.

Gene forged countless friendships throughout his life, particularly among the wonderful residents of Maguire Hill Apartments. He was a connector—a social butterfly fluttering from conversation to conversation, leaving a trail of laughter and a few heartwarming tales in his wake.

While we may be saddened by the departure of this vibrant soul, we invite you to join us as we celebrate the remarkable life he led! A Celebration of Life will be held in his honor on November 30, 2024, at the cozy gathering place of Jeff’s Pub, located at 112 S Camino Seco, Tucson, AZ 85710. Doors will swing open at 1:00 PM, and the festivities will carry on until 3:00 PM. Don your best stories and favorite memories, as we toast to Gene and the incredible life he lived.

Although Gene faced the challenge of cancer with the same courage he demonstrated in all he did, so raise your glass, tell a funny story, and smile for Gene—because he would want nothing less. Cheers to you, Gene; you left an indelible mark on our hearts and an endless legacy of joy!
