Emory Carroll Williams, Sr., of Vail AZ, (formerly of Caruthersville, MO) passed away September 29, 2024 in Tucson, AZ. He passed ten days before his 91st birthday .
Born in Deering, MO, on October 9, 1933, he was the youngest of twelve children born to William Monroe Williams and Carless Jane Tidwell.
He entertained with magic and humor throughout his school years and graduated from Caruthersville High School in 1953. He soon married his high school sweetheart, Nathailia Davidson, and they moved to Detroit, MI, where their son, Emory JR., was born. They returned to Caruthersville where he became the owner of two businesses, the Kozy Korner and the Aqua Shop and worked for Colson Corporation for several years.
In 1988 he moved to Tucson,AZ and in 1989 he and Nathailia opened Williams Magic and Novelties where he mentored aspiring magicians and inspired others over the years. He was a builder and inventor of magic effects. He held member #51238 in the International Brotherhood of Magicians (Ring #172 Tucson) and was a member of the Order of Merlin Shield. He was also an ordained minister of the Worldwide church of God.
Emory and Nathailia were married 71 years when he passed. He leaves his wife Nathailia, son Emory Williams Jr., his wife Claudia Williams of Vail, AZ, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by all his siblings
