Elma Lynn Amaro, beloved daughter, sister, mother, and Nana, passed away peacefully on August 18, 2025, in Tucson, Arizona, at the age of 66. She was born on July 29, 1959, in Big Spring, Texas, to Connie P. Amaro and Jesus Amaro.
Elma is preceded in death by her parents and her older brother, Jesse Amaro. She is survived by her brother, Robert Amaro, and her five cherished children: Ismael Rascon, Benjamin Castro, Vanessa Hernandez, Erica Hernandez, and Eddie Hernandez. Elma was also a proud Nana to eight grandchildren and one great-granddaughter, who were the light of her life.
Elma had a strong spirit and a tender heart. Though life presented many challenges, she faced them with resilience. Her family finds comfort in knowing she is now at peace and free from suffering. She will be remembered for her love of family, her unwavering strength, and the way she carried herself with dignity through hardship.
Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of her loved ones, and her spirit will continue to guide and inspire them.
