Dennis Dale Lynton

Dennis D. Lynton passed away peacefully on December 13, 2024 in Green Valley, AZ.

Dennis was born on August 13, 1931 in Glendale, CA to Edward Dale Lynton and Florence Gertrude Potter. He graduated from Berkeley High School in Berkeley, CA in 1949 and continued his studies at Pomona College, San Francisco State College and the University of California. In 1951 he enrolled at the University of Paris while his parents lived in Paris.

In 1952 Dennis met his future wife, Barbro, an attractive Swede studying French Civilization at the University of Paris. It was love at first sight. Dennis and Barbro were married December 29, 1953 in her hometown of Alkvettern, Sweden. They moved to Berkeley, CA in 1954.

As a Sergeant in the US Army, Dennis was honorably discharged in June 1955.

Dennis is survived by his wife Barbro of 70 years, residing in Green Valley, AZ. Their 4 children are Peter (Alicia) of Katy, TX, Suzanne (Matt) Dumford of Arvada, CO, Dennis (Sheri) of Westminster, CO and Mark (Echo) of Centennial, CO, plus 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Dennis led a full life as a director and executive with Miller, Schlitz and Stroh’s. He retired in 1989 and enjoyed 35 years of retirement in Arizona. Dennis and Barbro were fortunate to travel the world however his favorite destination was Maui.

Dennis was cremated and laid to rest at the crematorium at La Posada in Green Valley, AZ. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Animal League of Green Valley www.talgv.org 

His nickname was Grumpy which he proudly lived up to. He will forever be loved and missed.
