Dennis “Nef” Antoniewski | 1950–2025
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Dennis Antoniewski — beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend — who left us on September 4, 2025, at the age of 74.
Known affectionately as “Nef” or “Newski,” Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Henry “Chick” and Anne; and his brothers, Mark and David. He is survived by his devoted wife, Ann (née Conroy); his brother Roy; his loving children: Karen (Paul), Laura (Eli), Brad, Marie (Aaron), Sarah (Chris), Alex (Vanessa), Colleen, Lynn (Najib), Sean and Patrick; and his cherished grandchildren: Payton, Alexandra, Evan, Jack, Max, Ella, Avery, Erma, Del, Otto, Frankie, Henry, Brielle, Ash, Aliya, Rayan and Layla.
Dennis was born and raised in Cudahy, Wisconsin, and attended Holy Family School and Cudahy High School. He took great pride in representing the Packers on the high school golf team, playing chess, and standing out on the football field as a formidable defensive player.
He began his career apprenticing at Ladish Company and went on to become a highly skilled electrician, working more than 25 years in the trade before relocating to South Carolina. No matter where life took him — Wisconsin, South Carolina, or Arizona — Dennis formed strong friendships and left a lasting impression on everyone he met.
A natural coach and mentor, he especially loved coaching youth softball. He was a passionate sports fan and lifelong supporter of the Packers, Badgers, and Brewers. Whether he was watching a game, attending one, playing a round of golf or offering his legendary sports commentary, Dennis brought energy to the conversation.
He had a deep love for road trips, navigating not by GPS but by maps and instinct — always ready to give directions (solicited or not) to anyone in need. A handyman with a generous spirit, he was always the first to show up when something needed fixing.
Dennis never let his family or friends go hungry — a gift he inherited from his Polish mother. He found great joy in cooking for friends and loved ones, a meal always served with joy, country music and plenty of leftovers.
His family and friends will miss him more than words can express — his stories and his presence will forever be in the hearts of those who were lucky enough to know him.
