David Eugene Barry

David Eugene Berry, 62, passed away peacefully on November 17, 2025 at UMC Banner in Tucson due to complications from lung cancer. Born on April 28, 1963 in Caribou, Maine, David lived in multiple states as well as in England and New Zealand as a military brat until his family settled in Tucson, AZ in 1979.

David worked in the trades as a landscaper and painter. David was a kind soul and had much love for animals, especially cats. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, music and scratchers.

David was predeceased by maternal grandparents Robert Howard, Jeanne and Gene Holyoak and paternal grandparents Elmer and Margaret Berry, parents David Leroy and Sharon Berry.

David was widowed and is survived by stepson Robert Smith. Also surviving are siblings Debbra (Mike) Matlock, Damon (Deanna) Berry, Anna Jean Deluna, Courtney (Eric) Perez, stepmother Annette Berry, stepbrothers Stephen and Andy Corkle, aunt Teri (Brian) Sager Pease, nephews and niece Josh, Danny, Derek, David, Zoeigh, and Aaron.

In accordance with David’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service to spread his ashes will be held with friends and family on Mount Lemmon on December 14th.
