Cappy’s younger years were spent becoming the youngest ambulance attendant in the state of Maine at 15, Emt and paramedic. He was also a lobster fisherman and long haul driver, carrying lobsters to various places in New England and Canada. On July 16, 1981, one such trip resulted in a terrible accident that left Cappy paralyzed from the waist down. This did not stop him. He then moved on to become a dispatcher for many surrounding towns, a deputy sheriff and constable,

and worked for the fire department. Cappy also taught EMT/ Paramedic classes. His wife was one of his students. All of his students said he was a great teacher.

Cappy moved to Arizona with his wife in 1990 to help take care of this mother, who had cancer. He, as well as his wife and step father took very good care of her until her passing. Cappy enjoyed working on cars, boats, and anything with an engine. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and boating at Roosevelt Lake. Cappy worked as an Animal Rescuer and Relocator, working with the Az Game and Fish Dept. in Tucson, and continuing that work when he moved to McNeal, Az in 2000.

Everyone who met him was a friend. And there was never an animal in need that was turned away. Cappy absolutely loved his family and friends with all his heart, and will be greatly missed.
