Daniel Carnevale Profile Photo

Daniel Francis Carnevale, born May 9, 1947, passed away on July 5, 2023. Dan was originally from Paterson, New Jersey, and is a graduate of Saint Mary’s High school in Paterson. He served in the Air Force from 1967 to 1969 and during that time he was deployed to Vietnam. After his time in the service, Dan lived in Klamath Falls, Oregon, where he raised his daughter, Diane Carnevale Vail along with three stepsons, Dan, Kevin and Jim McCarthy. Dan moved to Tucson, Arizona, in 1998 where he married his wife, Jacki. Together they enjoyed refinishing furniture for sale in collaboration with Tucson Junksters. Dan was a man of many talents. He could wire in a new light fixture, build a bench, refinish the desk, install a new kitchen sink, or get an old lawnmower to work again when everyone thought it was ready for the dump! Dan was always willing to help anyone who needed him and always went over and above to get the job done. In fact, while helping move a refrigerator for a friend, he accidentally cut the tip of his finger off!

Dan was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Frances Carnevale. He is survived by his wife, Jacki Carnevale; daughter, Diane Vail, and husband, Robert of Oregon; stepdaughter, Becky Bishop of Oregon; sisters, Kathleen Stella and her husband, Frank of NJ, Joyce Savastano, and her husband, David of NJ, Sue Hubbard, and her husband, Jeff of Maryland; and brother Gary Carnevale and his wife, Mary of Massachusetts. In addition, he leaves his in-laws Tami and Scott, Doug and Gina, Ted and Allen, grandchildren, Chris, Ashley, Emma, Kaylee, Amber, and Tyler; great-grandchildren, Anastasia and Isaiah; along with aunts uncles, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews and many wonderful, lifelong friends.
