Carter Hurley

Carter Lynn Hurley, known affectionately as Corkey, passed away peacefully on June 9, 2024. He was a beloved brother, husband, father, grandfather, and uncle. Corkey was born on September 9, 1949, in Twin Falls, Idaho. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Danny, and sister Toni. Corkey is survived by his wife, Edie, sons Paul and Ben (Patricia), grandchildren Caitlin and Benjamin, brother Gary (Mary), and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Corkey’s favorite things included fishing with his brothers, gardening/tending flowers, and cheering on his grandchildren at their sporting events. Corkey loved family gatherings and spending holidays together. His favorite teams were the Wildcats, Diamondbacks, Dallas Cowboys, and the teams of his grandchildren.

Corkey always looked for ways to help people less fortunate and volunteered at his church. In lieu of flowers, please send a donation to the Connections Vineyard Church Food Pantry where he donated much of his time, energy, and money. www.connectionsvineyard.org .

A Celebration of Life service will be held on July 27, 2024, from 2-4 pm, at Connections Vineyard Church, 3150 E. Fort Lowell Road.
