Carol Pratt

Carol Birdine Pratt-Condron, born September 23, 1932 to Gerald Rostellen Pratt and Rowena Birdine Pratt (Price) in San Francisco, Ca. She was preceded in death by her three husbands, William John Hartman, Weldon Eldon Mitchell and Martin Edward Condron. Also, her beloved sister Gloria Rowena Knowles. She leaves behind her children Gerald William Hartman, Deanna Gloria Fitzgerald (Joseph) and Marlene Carol Hokanson (Mark). Grandson Johnny Bruder (Rachel), Granddaughter Katrina Bruder and Great Grandson William Bruder.

Carol attended Notre Dame Elementary Boarding School. She graduated from Phoenix High School. She worked as a secretary in her early years. Later she was a home care worker, managed some rentals, was a breeder of Irish Setters, and worked at her nearest precinct on election days. She volunteered at the Arizona State Fair, and the disaster relief at her Church.

Carol enjoyed the outdoors, horseback riding, hiking, camping, swimming and long walks on the beach. She loved to travel. She had visited England, Ireland, Thailand and Hawaii. She enjoyed her cruises to the Caribbean, Alaska, and Baja Mexico. She always looked forward to the annual Tucson Gem Show. Her last trip after her 90th birthday was to Pismo Beach. While there she wandered down to the shore and put her toes in the surf. She would always say, “You can’t be near the ocean and not put your feet in.” Carol passed away November 10, 2023 at the age of 91.
