Armando Urias, a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, loyal brother and faithful friend, passed away peacefully on June 18, 2025, at the age of 77, surrounded by the love and prayers of his family.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Olivia, together sharing 55 beautiful years of marriage. Their union was a foundation of love, strength and deep commitment to one another and to the family they built together.

Armando was a proud and dedicated father to his 5 children: Armando (Teresa), Omar (Stephanie), Andrea (Bernal), Martin (Sara), and Anna (Sammy). He found immense joy and fulfillment in being a grandfather to 14 grandchildren: Gabriela, Diego, Sofia, Jadyn, Damien, Alex, Xavier, Paloma, Antonio, Giavanna, Valentina, Nola, Ezekiel, and Abigail.

Born in Tucson, Arizona, to the late R. Armando and Connie Urias. He is lovingly remembered by his brothers and sisters: Yolanda (Albert), Daniel (Joyce), Irene, Lorraine (Mel), Geraldine (Ben), Olivia (Eli), and Hector, and by their extended families. Throughout his life, Armando remained a steady and supportive presence in their lives, always leading with genuine humility and care.

Armando proudly served his country as a medic in the United States Air Force Reserves. Additionally, he built a respected career in the jewelry business, where he became a long-time leader in the regional market. His warmth, integrity, and strong work ethic left a lasting impression on colleagues, customers, and employees alike. In retirement, Armando’s greatest joy came from being his grandchildren’s biggest fan. He rarely missed a sports game or performance and cheered each of them on with pride and love.

A highly-skilled guitarist with a deep appreciation for all kinds of music, Armando generously shared his talents with family and friends. He taught guitar to many of his children and grandchildren over the years, creating a beautiful musical legacy that continues to live on. Whether during family gatherings, jam sessions, or quiet evenings at home, his music and joyful spirit were the heartbeat of cherished memories.

Armando led by example and was a source of wisdom and encouragement to all who knew him. His loving and humorous spirit lives on in the hearts of his wife, children, grandchildren, siblings, relatives, and all who were blessed to know him. He will be dearly missed and forever remembered.

A funeral mass and celebration of life will be held on July 3rd, 2025 at Santa Catalina Church. Family and friends are invited to come together in remembrance for the gift of Armando’s life.
