Armando Rodriguez

Armando “Mando” Cruz Rodriguez, age 62, passed away on July 10th, 2025. He was born in Tucson, Arizona on September 15th, 1962 to Frank Acosta Rodriguez and Delia Cruz. A cherished member of his family, he was a son, brother, uncle, nephew, and cousin. He was also a caring father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, godfather, and beloved friend to many.

Armando was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Lucia “Chia” (Lupe), his son Gabriel “Mandito” Rodriguez and his nephew Rene Martinez. He is survived by his daughter Celia Grijalva, granddaughter Celina Rodriguez, great-grandson Alijah Rodriguez, as well as his sisters Toni, Becky (Frank), Frances’ and Gloria, along with many treasured nieces, nephews and godchildren.

A lifelong Tucsonan, Armando was a man of faith who found joy in helping others. His charm and easy smile will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Funeral services will take place at 10:00 AM on Thursday, July 24th, 2025, at St. Margaret Church, located at 801 N. Grande Avenue. The schedule includes a viewing at 10:00 AM, followed by a rosary at 11:00 AM, and a funeral mass at 11:30 AM.
