Anita spent her early years and young adult life in Olney, Illinois, moving to Albuquerque, N.M. in the early 1970s where she would raise her girls. In 1992 she returned to her home town in Illinois until 2004 when she moved to Tucson, Arizona.

Anita worked most of her life as a CNA. She was hardworking and compassionate. She took care of her patients as if they were her own family, caring for them with love and respect.

Anita Pauline was full energy and had an amazing grit noticed by many. She was honest, direct, and rarely sugar coated anything. Anita was a devoted mother who made every holiday magical and each birthday memorable. From her amazing caramel apples for the many trick or treaters to her incredible holiday meals open to all, she taught us the value of kindness and hard work. She would later share her many life lessons and traditions with her grandchildren.

Anita had a deep love for animals that she passed on to her girls. From the wild birds she feed daily to the many dogs she rescued through the years she found solace and companionship in their lives.

Anita loved gardening and took pride in her many plants and flowers. Her yard always looked amazing. She loved to play cards, Rummy was her favorite, she could play for hours and hours never tiring of the game. She was a savvy shopper who loved finding a good deal, HSN was often the channel selected on her tv. Anita loved going to and having yard sales. She would say it was not about finding a good deal or making money, it was about connecting with the people she met at the sales.

Anita, Pauline, Mom, Granny will always hold a special place in our hearts and will be missed by many.
