Alfredo Antonio Meza was granted his angel wings on February 5th, 2025. Born on October 23rd, 1956, he was the son of Mexican immigrants and one of eleven children. His final days were spent surrounded by family and friends that he had touched in some small way throughout his short, yet very memorable life.
A proud veteran of the United States Air Force, Alfredo served his country with honor before transitioning into a career in construction. For over 40 years, he worked tirelessly in the industry, leaving a lasting impact through his craftsmanship and dedication. His contributions helped shape the city he loved, and his strong work ethic was admired by all who knew him.
Beyond his professional life, Alfredo embraced life's simple joys. He was an avid sports fan who found excitement at the dog track and had a deep appreciation for oldies music. Whether reading the newspaper or cruising through town, he enjoyed staying connected to the world around him. On warm days, nothing delighted him more than indulging in a refreshing raspado—a small pleasure that brought him great happiness.
Alfredo is survived by his wife of 26 years, Evelyn Meza; his children, Clarissa and Freddy; his stepchildren, Joseph and Julian; his grandson, Daveed Searan; numerous step grandchildren; and many brothers, sisters and other cherished loved ones. He was preceded in death by his nephew Daniel Martinez Jr.; his nephew Francisco X. Meza Jr.; his sister, Alma Yrigolla; his father, Victor Meza; and his mother, Olga Meza.
His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. May he rest in peace.
