Alfonso lived a full and vibrant life. Known for his hard work, generous spirit, and dedication to his family and community, he pursued a diverse range of interests and made a lasting impact on those around him. One of his proudest accomplishments was earning his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Arizona and later, his Master’s Degree from Northern Arizona University.

He dedicated much of his professional life to education, teaching in the Sunnyside School District for 26 years, where he cared deeply for his students and treated them like his own. He also taught welding at Pima Community College for 15 years, helping others learn valuable skills to better their futures.

Alfonso was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He found joy in spending time with his family—especially playing with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, often making them pancakes and sharing laughter.

He was a true outdoorsman who loved working in his yard, had a deep appreciation for music—especially Elvis Presley—and enjoyed playing the drums. Alfonso was an avid sports fan, proudly supporting the University of Arizona football and basketball teams, as well as the Dallas Cowboys.

With a warm, genuine smile and a generous heart, Alfonso brought joy to those around him. He will be remembered for his kindness, passion for life, and unwavering love for his family.
